Opinion on headunit

i have 2 headunits... gotta choose one... the other goes to my brother. I am also going to hook up an iPod through the AUX outputs. these are the 2 HU i have...

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...etailComponent

OR

http://www.slashclub.com/pCD3402.html

I'm not going to have an amp or anything... maybe upgraded speakers in the future... but nothing anytime soon. Just trying to figure out which headunit to put into my car! with my iPod connection. I believe i can just use a AUX cable, or Y Cable. Both of these headunits have these.

Let me know people!!! Thanks. i Have a 97cl if that matters.

Alpine!

well of the two, which one do you think will suit you better? I know eclipses usually have a TON of features to help shape the acoustics and the soundstage which is more for the audiophiles. The pioneer is a good deck if you don't really care all that much aobut tweaking your sound but just want a solid HU.

ECLIPSE!! althought the head unit donesn't look that good. but the goodies are inside. better sound quality and tweating abilities. able to make stock speakers sound like componets.

I would go Eclipse.

I personally think it looks better than the Pioneer.

I highly doubt that Fujitsu has any different laser than any other Cd maker.

It sounds better than the Pioneer, probably.

Eclipse is the higher quality of the two. Go with the Pioneer if you want iPod controls through your deck:

Or I would just sell them both and get a new one with 4V preouts and more features.

I think you just encapsulated their entire HU product marketing strategy right there.

Of course, to me it's a reason to buy a Nakamichi : )

Pretty much...

Between Alpine, Denon, Nak's, Clarion (their primary high end unit) which do you guys feel is the best quality.

Insides? Probably Nak......pretty good insides and a bit "cleaner" look (IMHO) - Alpine

I think the adjective is "clean", not plain.
