OEM Carpet / Trunk Liner

Hello. I have a 2k5 TSX and will soon be installing a subwoofer and amp in it. Through everyones experience, what carpet / trunk liner out there is the closest match to the OEM trunk liner? Where do you get it from? I have looked at Select Products but can't tell from the site what is the closest. (also, if any installers out there would know where I could find a good match for an S2000 trunk, I'd REALLY appreciate it) I just did an install on a friend's S2000 and we are having an awful time finding something that anyone will sell. None of the local shops will sell us any. They all point us to a local wholsaler who only sells in vary large quantities. If I could order a couple square yards to finish both cars, I'd be very happy. Thanks!

I used "Charcoal felt" from Jo Ann fabrics. It is much softer than the trunk carpet, but is a great visual match. Was only like $6 per yard and easy to work with.

Thank CJams. You always seem to have some good info. Can I ask you one more? I am doing your AUX-3 mod some time this week. I purchased the Honda harness to avoid having to cut wires and solder in the car. I had hoped to do it this past weekend but the part didn't come in. Anyway, do you have some info, or know of a thread, with instructions on how to remove the center console? I want to add a 1/8" female panel mount input next to the 12V outlet in the center console. I know I have seen instructions somewhere on how to remove the console, but searched for a while yesterday and couldn't find anything. (Found some where it looked like they might be but the links were broken). Thanks Man. Good luck in the game tonight!

Here's the DIY threads. Check the TSX section. It has the removal pages for almost everything in the car.

I think what you need is in the accessing the amp thread. It has links to the center console stuff among others. Good luck!

Go Hawks!

For the TSX trunk, it's pretty close.

Thanks for the reply Spoon. Maybe I'll pick up some of that, and some of the felt that Cjams recommended, and see what looks best.

Thanks Cjams. I actually found that last night, but didn't scroll down past the bad links. Got it now.

What part outside of Tampa? I'm from south of you ...... Sorrysota! Just moved up here last year. Go Bucs! Would love to see the Hawks play the Bucs for a chance at the big one. I would be torn tho.

I'm in Apollo Beach. Weather here is a bit nicer than Seattle.

^^^This is the best part of the year to be in FL. That's why all the snowbirds flock there. I don't miss those steamy hot and humid summers with the $250 a/c power bills.

Good luck witht he boxes!

Eh, not the greatest pics (or enclosure), but the carpet is kind of a close match. Both pics with a flash if I remember, but the bottom one a little farther away - the bottom pic shows the color difference better in the upper right corner.

Never thought about them. Does Krik still own that shop? I bought gear from him over 15 years ago when his "shop" was basically a rented storage unit. Now he's huge. They are turning out really good work last I saw. I never thought of them because I never go that way. Might do that.

Spoon, yours looks like a very good match as well. Thanks for all of the help.
