Noise keeping factory headunit

Hi, guys I'm new to the board. I've read alot of the audio threads but I'm concerned that if I amp the factory hu, there will be too much noise. I know alot of people on the board have done this, any feed back would be appreciated.

Still stuck with all blowz

I think you'll have good luck amping the factory hu.

I added a sub by splicing the line out leads from the hu and it sounds great. (though I had to use a ground isloator).

Thing is, you could always try it this way, and if it didn't sound like you wanted, replace it then.

Leaving the factory headunit looks better than any aftermarket kit to make another unit fit, hands down. Plus it doesn't 'advertise' that you have a bunch of valuable electronics in your trunk!
