Welcome!

Thats quite a hefty sub you have there. Maybe you can mount the amp on the side of the trunk, or even on the side or back of the sub box. Depending on if you want to do it yourself or not, you could build a false floor and have the amp sit under.

As for removing swirl marks, check the Wash n Wax section

the sub is a jl 12w6v2 amp is the jl500/1 +1 farad capacitor please i would love to build the amp rack on the left of the trunk but need to know what materials to use. the box is ported speciaslly designed for the specific sub so that has to stay. fiberglass is not an option for amp rack. false floor is an option just need good instruction to do it and ill keep you guys updated with pics of the build. might be timely considering im one handed now but i still got some skills. hook a brother up!! instructions pls.

well i mounted my 500/1 on the left side, and kinda ghetto rigged it (it was my first time) but anyways, there is a metal plate on the right hand side which i screwed a board too and then put some wood on the other side (near the taillights) all behind the trunk liner. Then i just screwed the amp to a plastic piece and then that plastic piece to the metal plate and the wood piece. I hope that helps, im sure people here have better suggestions on building amp racks in that location.

well what's your setop right now, im guessing you are gonna be doing all the work yourself. I have not made a false floor before, but i would guess it would require a cardboard template and the carpeted wood. Also, i would put some plexiglass in the middle tp display the amp, but i've never done it before

I think you can fit that amp under the passenger seat if you shim it up a few mm : )

I had the 300/4 under the pass seat of my TSX with 3 1mm washers and removing the under-carpet padding.

I just thought you'd like to see something a little different....it's out of the way and still gives you full access

Here's a pic without the floor in but it gives you an idea of what it'll look like

mounting to the deck, or back of the seats is a good idea, unless your seat folds down. I also like the side mount. Personally, I usually mount my amps right to the box, so I can run shorter wires. However, in my next setup, with fiberglass enclosure, I'm mounting my amps straight to the trunk bed, and putting a false floor over them. It all depends on what's easiest, and what look you're going for.
