MORE PICTURES

The amp and cap are covered with a plexi and carpeted cover. Fully removable but there to prevent things like golf clubs from beating up my amp.

In the one picture you'll see that I was able to keep my trunk tray. I cut a section out of it so I can still use it. That thing is a lifesaver.

Nice and very simple with lots of room still. How does it sound? Does it say 'made in Germany' on the amp like the Brax's? What did Ron use to cover around the amp?
When tuning it in you might want to try reversing polarity on passenger's midbass driver only- I felt it made a difference in moving the soundstage towards the front of car a bit more and widening the 'sweet' spot.

Todd,
Yeah it sounds amazing compared to the stock system. One problem is that Kirk thinks the voice coil is blown in the sub. Ron mentioned that it would not get very loud without making some strange noises. Definitely no fault of Ron. I gotta run out the see Kirk tomorrow to see about getting a new one. Even without the sub it still sounds great.
I may try reversing the polarity to see if it sounds better.

Bad to hear but I'm sure Kirk will take good care of you. Take what you need to hook a new sub back in at his place, then talk Kirk into listening/tuning with you. He's been doing it professionaly for 20+ years, so he's got the ears for it. Kirk and Ron should hook up - Kirk should have a recommended installer in his area.

Initial review, in the Element Enclosure, it is unbelievably tight. No mushy bass for me.

Nice install. Which Cascade material did you use? Have you heard of RAAMmat? Does it pretty much do the same thing?

Yup pretty much the same thing. Cascade doesn't have an odor like Dynamat and weights a heck of a lot less.

StreetEffectz or NSXNEXT:
I'm about to do an installation of the 6.5" CDT HD63DT-S seen in this thread. I'm interested in knowing if there are any problems in installing these speakers in the front doors. I see that you used 3/4 inch MDF to make room for the larger size, but did you have to alter the grills in order to make room for the bracket that holds the tweeter? Any helpful suggestions in getting these speakers to fit correctly will be greatly appreciated.

The problem I'm having is the space for my pair of MB Quarts. I cant see any way they are going in my door without taking a saw to the rim of the old speaker area. I need another inch it looks like in radius for these 6+1/2 even with a spacer. Did you have to cut the sheet metal to drop yours in?
