My old accord with 3 15w6's hit 142.2 and was setup for SQ, not SPL. This comes in handy when you get married, you can hear what they are yelling at you.

Yes they used to sell the Clarion sub I worked for Sound Advice for a few years we used to have one on display in every store. I only heard of one person selling one for a tahoe but never heard it myself in a car.
For those of you who were wondering...
Retail pricing on the sub (22" Jackhammer) is approximately $6,000
Dealer cost is (I don't know if i'm supposed to say or not) approximately $2,500
The sub weighs approximately 369lbs
23" tall
22" diameter
Power handling...
RMS - 6,000 watts
Peak - 12,000watts
One crazy a$$ sub, I personally think it's pretty cool.
Also, the Clarion 32" was actually kinda cool too. I had the chance to hear one. We used to sell them where I work, we only sold one, and it was for a home theater install. When that guy was done with it, it went lower than any home theater setup I have ever heard. Just plain cool if you ask me... But I suppose to each his own.

Jesus. 5 amps 3 car batteries and 6 capacitors. Along with that sub and all the steel mounting for it, he'll be lucky to get the car up to freeway speed. That's got to be at least 800 pounds of extra weight.

If so what's so new about a 22" subwoofer?

Is it just me, or didn't Audiobahn announce they were making a 32 inch sub???
130 DB is not that bad for a sub that size.. Hell, at my old job (Circuit City, I now work at BB) a few install guys and myself(worked in car audio) tested the dual 12 inch SledgeHammer set up we had. It hit at near 120 DB in my TSX... Those 12 inch subs were only rated at 800 RMS a piece too!

130 DB with a 22", that is terrible. One 10" if set up right can beat that easy. Pimp my ride is

It only pushed 130 dbs which isn't that impressive IMO. Plus you need to have a suburban just to hold the 300+lb woofer.
