New IPod interface

Just read about a new product that connects IPod directly to HU unit:
http://theistore.com/ipod2car.html
I checked out the site--it seems it's compatible with most Acuras, though TSX is notably missing.
Wonder if anyone has any more information on this and whether it will work with 2005 TSX?
Here's hoping...

Unfortunately, I found out the answer to my own question--unit does not work with ANY Acuras later than 2003. No plans to make it work in any future versions at the present time. Store thought the ICRUZE might work, but found out it too is incompatible in late-year models. I guess from all of the postings there really no easy solution to this problem, right?

Best hope is that the same problem for 2005 TSX affects 2005 Accord... 'cause the Accord will definitely get a new firmware upgrade ASAP.

here's an idea: hu to preamp with 2 inputs for sources, preamp to amp (factory or aftermarket), and plug ipod into 2nd source. yes i know it won't show on the screen, and you have to use your thumb while driving (really big playlists for road trips?). sound quality will definitely beat fm and casette adapter.

I was under the impression that all aux inputs (dension included) could not be used with navi- or with a 2005 (because of the xm). If you can use the dension or any shond like product, i can still see some benefits for using, say the audiocontrol 4.1i: much greater voltage to your amps and a very nice eq as a bonus (not a big fan of eq's in general though). When I upgrade my 2004 this fall, I will get navi-, so I am looking at ways to keep the stock hu, and have my beloved ipod.

The SHOND needs to be redesigned with a throughput and an interrupt.

Too bad i'm busy...

the dension can be used with the navi because what you do is either splice the cable, or buy some blitzsafe cable that plugs into the navi and the dension. As for running it with xm, that's a hairer issues that was disucssed somewhere else on this forum.

I personally ran the dension with an 04 navi

Are you getting a aftermarket deck with Navi?
If so, Alpine has an Ipod adapter and Pioneer is suppose to release theirs very soon.
