Need suggestions on crimping 4 gauge wire..

Does anyone have any recommendations on howto crimp 4 gauge power wire (this is driving both of my amps) into 1 eye terminal?

I would love to solder this terminal on, but, I think I might be spending alot of time (if it is possible) to heat up the solder and the 4 gauge wire to make a good solder connection.

Anyone have any suggestions??

Crimping it isn't going to work well...

I would use something like this:

I've got this, unfortunately they don't have a nice battery clamp like that for 3 four gauge wire (Think the most they have is for like 1 four gauge, one aught (infinity) and then the others are of different smaller gauges.

If you look at the + battery terminal, you'll notice that there are actually 2 four gauge for the vehicle (I didn't trace them down, but sure they are for vehicle eletrical/alternator) & this is without the 4 gauge coming from the amps.

Trying to crimp down a four gauge wire into one of these is a bitch, but from what I hear soldering one of these is even more of a bitch

Use a hammer and a thick regular screw driver

Try the parts express website. They have tones of connector stuff.

Try these pages:

battery connectors

other connectors

i used a pair of heavy duty pliers and started stomping on it with a hammer. then secured the connection with electrical tape.

A must have for any hobbiest... makes quick work of soldering ANYTHING. I once soldered 50 10,000 uF caps onto solid copper bars 1/4" thick for a home amp power supply with one of these little Fers. The solder tip works surprizingly well for more delicate soldering in the field.

I got mine at Osh. You should be able to find them at a hardware store. Maybe try Home Depot, Sears, etc.
