Need Sub Advice

Hey all. Ok, I made the deal on a brand new Memphis Belle. It is last year's chrome model but, brand spankin new. I need some suggestions for the sub. I have the Diamond 12" M6 now. I could get another one and run the amp down to 1 ohm. This way each sub gets about 550 watts. But, this is going to require double the room. I am wanting some other ideas. The amp will do 300 x 1 @ 4ohms, 600 x 1 @ 2ohms and 1,100 x 1 @ 1 ohm.

i say 1 idmax 12 (dual 2ohm vc)... wired in parralel would give you a 1 ohm load and about 1000w to that speaker... man i am so jealous i would love to have the money to redo my whole system...

Its not that I am spending money. I sold my JL 300/4, 500/1 and my Eclipse EA3422, all to pay for the Memphis Belle. If I decide on another sub, I will probably have to sell my Diamond sub first.

I have yet to actually hear a sub I like as much as the IDMAX. The M6 is not in the same class in my opinion. I have not heard the W7 but, the IDMAX is just awesome and alot less expensive. One 12" with 1,100 watts was actually my first choice. I though either IDMAX, W7(really can not afford it), or maybe a Diamond TDK.

well the w7 will not work since it is 3ohms which would not give you about 450watts... and that is not enough to push one 12w7 to its full potential... i can tell you if i had my system to do all over again i would go with the diamond audio hex's up front and diamond audio coxials in the rear... and a idmax 12 sub... all ran on arc audio amps...

Well that makes my decision easier. I did not want to try and come up with that much money anyway.

At some point, I would like to get hex's up front and move the m661 to the rear but, that is a ways off.

I looked at the Arc amps but, their 5 channel did not have a strong enough sub section.

I really am thinking about the IDMAX again. Like I did not just have one a couple of months ago. I will wait til the amp gets here and see how the Diamond sounds.
