Need Some Help and Advice

Ok my scenario is I do not want to spend a shitload on a system. I've done it before and it's usually a waste.. I plan on stepping down my factory system.. But basically in the $300-400 range I need to know what's the best bang for the buck.. I don't care about matching amp and subs. I want a single 12" and a amp to run it. Thanks in advance..

I agree. Get an alpine Type R sub, Alpine amp....or JL sub/amp.. For $400 you can get a good amp and quality sub for some good sound. Also, get a line level knob to put inline between your step down and your amp. That way you can still have isolated control of your sub volume.
