JL is so-so. A lot of slick marketing, not much on the technology side.
CDT Audio MS100 10" subs will kick the crap out of a JL any day.
Putting together a system in the next couple of weeks.
Helix HXA500Q - 5 channel amp
CDT Audio HD62DT-S 6.5" comps
2- CDT Audio MS100 10" subs in Element Enclosures
I'd recommend Alumapro as well. I've also heard the new Boston Acoustics are nice too.
I'd recommend a trip to www.streeteffectz.com Ron in in NJ and would be happy to talk to you about your ideas. He swears by Alumapro/Phoenix Gold.

Helix Amp
CDT Front Speakers
CDT Audio Subs
NSX,
looks like you took the plunge. Very nice choices. The MS's are sooo tight and crisp. How did the guys at the shop treat you? I'm installing the HD Braxials this weekend up front with the Synopsis.

Thanks for the tip. Spoke to Kirk Monday night. D@mn he loves to talk about car audio. He definitely steered me in the right direction. The best part is, like you said, their no-pressure sales.
He pretty much refused to sell me anything until I really thought out my plans. Well I'm just about thought out. Gonna do it very soon.
Thanks again for the tip. Can't wait to see pics of your install work.

LOL, Kirk can talk. Did you visit their store or just call him? Did you ever talk/email Chris? I remember talking to Kirk for a long while too, then we started to get into home audio equipment and circuit design for another 20 minutes. His tip for home audio is at MonarchyAudio.com. According to Kirk, incredible - High quality designs at great prices! He highly recommended them, but I'm set-up in the home already.
