Need help running wires!!

I am installing a JL-Audio amp (500/1), and i am having trouble running the wires. The wire is 4-gauge (hella thick) and i can't seem to get it through the firewall, from the engine into the cabin. Does anybody have any recommendations on a simple method of getting this done?
Thanx in advance!

once you've found the hole, start with a smaller gauge wire, like 8 gauge. tape the 4 gauge to one side of the 8 gauge, the other side of the 8 gauge, run through the firewall first. then slowly pull till the 4 gauge goes through as well. it might help if you tape a ballpoint pen at the side of the 8 gauge that you will be inserting first through the firewall. that's what i did and it made it a lot simpler
