Need Help with Cooling Fan
I have a String cooling fan for my Kicker Impluse AMP 1302 and I cant figure out how to wire it. I also have a Pioneer CD player and a Pioneer EQ. When I connect the ground wire for the fan to the amp and the other wire to the remote turn on the EQ turns off. If connect the fan to the power and ground the fan wont turn off when I turn the car off. Can someone please help me.

Sounds like you could use a relay to fix this. You can pick one up at radio shack or a autoparts store for a couple of bucks. It's basically a switch... it will generally have 4 leads coming off it. You'll hook one of the leads to the turn on lead to the amp, one lead to the always on power lead to the amp and the other leads to the power and ground wires going to the fan.
When the turn on lead gets power, it will allow the fan to draw the power it needs from the always on power lead. That way it will only come on when the amp is on and it won't overload the turn on lead like it was before.
Hope that helps.
