Exclamation Need help ASAP regarding sub in CL.

I might be purchasing a sound system tomorrow for my CL. I plan on hooking up a 10" sub to the stock head unit, but can the stock amp handle it or do I need a new amp?

You need a amp to drive the subwoofer. You also need signal from the head unit. You can use a Line output converter(LOC) & splice into the rear speakers. This will give you a RCA output to feed the amp.

If you don't have an idea of what this means, get a shop to hook you up.
Check out the audio FAQ at the top of this forum section.

while this is already a topic, i am trying to do the same thing as him, the only problem i am running into is i don't know which wire is the remote wire going into the amp, i have a couple of wiring schemes but they both say something different and i don't have a wire tester. Can anyone help please?

Thanks fuzzy, I'm going to wait for a bit on the system, but at least I can install it myself.

thanks, yellow/white wire worked... i have no idea what the problem is now, i had everything hooked up, everything was working fine, sub sounded awesome. i shut the car off and turned it back on and now it doesn't work anymore. the amp turns on, i checked the fuses, the ground is good rechecked all the wires to the line out converter, all the stock speakers are working but the sub just doesn't work anymore... ugh. this is so frustrating. i think i either have a bad amp or a bad woofer.
