Need Advice on Speakers / Amp

I was thinking of getting the Kenwood Excelon KFC-Xr51p or the Infinity Kappa 60.5 series to install int he front of a 2002 TL. I was wondering what people thought of these speakers and what you think about running them off a Alpine V12 MRV-T420. Is that too much AMP for these speakers?

Hope to hear some good suggestions. I am looking to spend around $150 for components. Found the Kenwood's for $145.

Thanks in advance.

Cant go wrong with either, I have had both Kenwood and Infinity components. Couldnt really tell much between. With components you need at least 50 watts/speaker to power them correctly.

PM with any questions

I got the kappas

I own a pair of 60.5CS I had them running with a JL 300.4, 75 watts to each, sounded very nice. Don't expect tons of bass, just tight sounding mids and clear highs. If you want big base get some subs. That alpine you have should be fine. If I found the right specs on it you should be running 110 watts to each channel. Mids and Highs will sound great. Just be sure to use some sound dampening material on your doors, I.E. Dynamat, so you dont lose that nice sound. I found these on ebay btw. Got them for around $150 including shipping. Good LUCK!

Thanks a lot for the replies. This is good information. I am planning on using a sub. I have the Infinity Basslink right now hooked into the factory system. I like it and will use it for a while, but eventually will upgrade to externally powered sub.

Thanks again to all.

Get the CDT CL61's that's on special right now for $149 (half price) at thezeb. You'll be hard pressed to find a better speaker for that price.
