i just brought a navi screen for a 01-02 tl. it will fit in my 99 right? also i purchased the navi drive for a 99. where does that hook into and what else do i need for this to work. also what dash pieces do i need and does anyone have them. please reply back. thanks a lot

 

do a search...a few members have done this...you need all kinds of wiriing as well though.

just do a search in the Audio and Electronics forum for soemthing like 'adding navi' or something similiar.

 

hey if you are going to add the navi why not just go ahead and get the dvd navi.... but ArN 2000 TL is right there is alot more involved then just buying the pieces and pluging them together.. you are going to need the wiring schematics for the ac so you can slpice into the blower controls so they can be controled with the navi screen also you will have to move all the other ac controls to that little piece right above the headunit... i was thinking about doing this with my tl and after doing all the homework i found out that it would be alot easier to just trade my car in for a tl with navi.....

its DEFINATELY NOT plug and play...involves a LOT of work and A LOT of parts/wires.

 

not to mention alot of knowledge and the schematics for the wiring of the ac/stock navi/stock radio ... etc... good luck..
