My 01 TL trunk install

Here are some pics of my trunk install on my 01 TL,it was done By my friend INTUNEAUTO here in southern california
Here are some pics

Thats 2 MTX 5500 12 in subs, all the interior speakers were changed to infinity 6-1/2 components in front and coaxials in the back, the amps are a kove armageddon ag2000 for the subs and a infinity 7541 4 channel for the interior. All in all it took 8hrs to complete from start to finish and its all running off my stock headunit for now.Changes will be going to dark grey suede and changing the headunit for a pioneer Avic D1 in a few weeks.
Hope you enjoy

it took al in all about 8hrs to finish, from morning til late afternoon.

The bass sounds and feels real nice, the highs are nice crisp and clear. tweeters sound nice, and all with the factory HU intact (high to low converters are the sh*t) playing burnt cd's is a b*tch but hey, i guess ia have to sacrifice untill i can afford the D1.

By the way the latch is holding down my trunk, so believe it or not, it sounds like there is 10 layers of dynomate. VERY MINIMAL RATTLING TO NO RATTLING AT ALL.

you would not believe that there is no dynomate.

thanks, guess working for circuitcity kinda pays off, i get the D1 off an accomodation program for $650. Only downside is that you have to wait 8-12 weeks for delivery

2 Questions....
1. I like your setup, matter of fact I love it. But what happens if you get a flat, does the amp rack lift?

2. What did you do to to the trunk rattle w/o dynamat? I have one 12" sub and it rattles like a bitch!!!

thanks, well if i get a flat nothing would really happen the false floor is mounted to the trunk, the amp rack is mounted on the false floor.

as far as rattling you need a 10mm ratchet and just adjust the latch of your trunk. reverse it, this way your latch is holding down your trunklid.

you'd be surprised
