Which mp3 changers work with stock deck?

As stated above. I have a 99 TL and am wondering which mp3 changers will work with the stock head unit.

I'm aware that the Alpine CHA-S634 works as per people who installed them already.

What about the Sony CDX-T70, CDX-757, Kenwood KDV-C810 and so on?

thanks

Since the HU on TL is made by Alpine, I don't think it will support the changer that made by other vendor. One way to do it is to change the HU and the changer with the same brand.

Cheers !!!

that or pioneer. the other type of adapter is for a pioneer i believe so you should be able to hook up one of those changers...as for a mp3 changer, not sure if they offer one and/or if it will fit. for sure, the alpine 634 changer along with the convertor cable (plus the required adapter) will work.

I believe so, as well as the navigation.

Well...if you want something semi cheap and super easy, go out and buy a Bantam BA-350. I'm not sure how much storage you want...(depends on if you go for super long drives 'as in 20-30 hours' or not).

Anyway...it comes with 128M of ram....you can drop another mmc card into it (up to a total of 256).

It uses a standard cassette tape adapter... and without compression I can get 35-45 songs on it (I've got a 64 meg expansion card)... all at 128bit.

You can get it at www.bantamusa.com. It was voted the BEST mp3 player under 200 bucks.... plus it's the size of a friggin' business card and a single charge off of USB lasts 7-8 hours.

Seriously...I'm never in my car more than 2-3 hours at a time, tops....so that's all the tunes I need. You can download all your tunes via USB, hit random play, and you've got tunes much longer that you'll be in the car for. In addition, since it has no moving parts or hard drive, you can clip it to your belt and work out without fear of skips..

I've had mine for 4 months...and I rarely listen to the radio anymore...it just friggin rocks. You can't buy it at any store, just online.

just my two cents. If you have any more ?'s you can email me at daylon2@yahoo.com

p.s. I've got a TL Type S and it fits perfectly into that little drink holder / trapdoor thingy....

I am aware of the device to tape type systems, but how clear is the sound through the tape device? Do you sacrifice clarity? Somewhat like loss of clarity through an FM modulator.
