Mounting Amp in TSX?

Hey guys, I've been searching the forum for the best way to mount amps in the TSX and found nothing. How are you guys securing your amps in the TSX? I will be mounting a JL 500/1 and 300/4. I was thinking about building an amp rack, but how do I secure it so it doesn't move around? I don't want to mount them in the back seat and I can't mount them on the trunk floor since the gas tank is right under. Help!

I just finish my project today. Take a look. I'm still debating on carpeting to cover th inperfections. It is so difficult to cut a straight line.

Damn bro, thats very nice!!! I think I'm going to do the exact same thing! How did you secure the rack from moving around? Another question, where did you get that sub enclosure from?

It's a tight fit. It's not going anywhere. But you can always cut a small piece of wood, enough thickness to screw the amp box to insert underneath the carpet. And that small piece of wood can be glued to the car. Hard part is cutting a straight line. You can use a piece of straight wood to guide the jigsaw and a router to give it a unique round corner look.

There is a user on this forum that make custom enclosures. Here is his sub enclosure link: https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/custom-fiberglass-subwoofer-enclosures-358676/

I noticed you used real wood, any reason you didn't use MDF?

I planned to stain the wood a dark color, but got lazy and some of the cut weren't straight so i just left it the way it is. I just want it to look neat.

The amp would probably cool better if it were not recessed in the rack...

THis is how it looks, stained.

I stained in the car, so it's missing spots here and there.
It has no problem venting. I didn't completely seal the rack as you can see

I'm not feeling the stain, I think it would look so much better if you added some carpet.
