more powerful sub?

Is it possible to hook up an after market 8in sub to where the existing sub is without needing a new amp or new wiring?
I want some more bass, and I think the infinity bass box is gay

wrong forum, if you want more responces post this in the audio forum. Personally I would reccomed hooking another amp uo to the same sub, you will get alot more bass than stock, or a new amp and a new 8"sub will do, but the main reason ou are not happy is the amp not the sub...repost this thread in the audio section you will get alot more responces

There is only one 8in sub that works as a free air sub. Its made by Kicker, but its only a Mid Bass Sub. So you won't get deep lows. Someone on this forum used those Kicker 8in. They said it gave them cleaner Mid Bass than the 9in Bose Sub. You will still need a new amp though.

there are alot of companies that make subs that will fit in the stock location with minor modification... illusion audio, planet audio, kicker... etc..

I thought I read somewhere in this forum the factory sub is 1-ohm. Did you hook up a 1 ohm amp?
