more bass

alright im looking for some more bass.. i was looking at the kicker L5 12'' ,each sub is like 600 rms.. and i was looking at the kx1200.1 amp.. the amp is 1200 rms at 1 ohm...each sub is dual 4 ohm so wired together i can make it 1 ohm right? i am a bass junkie and i want to be able to feel the bass hit ur chest..but i dont want it to sound like complete shit... so you think this will do the trick? thanks for the input

Ive heard good things about the W7 as far as SPL and SQ are concerned. You may wan't to go that route. Also, you will need a solid amp. Maybe a 1000/1 plus a 12 or 13.5 W7 ? im not familiar with other brands as far as shear volume is concerned.

Pat (Residual Freedom) is building a monster system w/ 2 15" Concept Subwoofers. Maybe he can chime in here.

a friend of mine has two 10 inch w7s.. it sounds awsome but im not sure if 1200 bucks is going to be enough for two 10'' and an amp + box...

oh yeahh.. if i do go in the route of kickers.. am i going to be able to use the 4ga wire that i have in my car now or am i going to have to upgrade to maybe a 0 gauge?

im not sure about price, but thier TDX series is the top of their line. My friend has the M6, like NYZGREATEST, and it sounds nice, and from what i know they are pretty efficient. I'd suggest checkin' them out.

you really can't go wrong with a JL W7. I have a 10w7 and it kicks major ass. If you really want pound you in the chest bass on that price.... I say you get 2 JL W6v2's, 2 JL 10w7's, or 3 MTX 9000's.

3 10's hit so hard. Buddy of mine has 3 MTX 9000's and they pound, but not as clear as my W7. At any rate, 3 10's are crucial.

just depends how you wanna spend your money

If you have that kinda budget on subs and amp, you can get something serious.

Check out Resonant Engineering SX or XXX( I have one 15" which is more than enough)

Also look into Adire Brahma, Stereo Intergrity Magnum, Avalanche, Sound Splinter, IDMAX, Incriminator Audio.

IMO you will get much more bang for you buck going with these type of companies compared to JL audio.
