I need opions on the Alpine type X(spx177a), MB Quart PCE 216, and JL XR. I wanna upgrade my components again. Anyone using any of these and how do u like them. I only heard the XRs out of this group. In my shoes which ones would u get. This is what I have currently.
Alpine Type Rs in the front and rear
JL 300/4 running them

 

In my opinion i would go with the alpine type x's cause they just sound amazing, but i have some friends with the MB's and they aren't bad, what he did was had nothing in the rears and had the MB's costum fit a bigger tweeter into the doors. The JLs are just out of the picture in my opinion.

 

i got some jl xr in the front and jl vr in the back. i wish i had gotten something else, because they aren't what i expected. get focal their the best. go check out http://www.caraudio.com/adsn/adclick...com%2Fcaraudio for jl if you want because i got it over there and it's the cheapest.

 

What headunit do you have running them?

 

I have a Alpine 9815.

 

hey dnd your system will never be finished cuz you are upgrading constantly... ok as for which speaker i would go with.. no of the above... i am not a huge mb quarts fan.. i think they do not sound natural.. the jl's do not impress me for the price.. and the alpines are ok but there are better speakers out there... if it was me i would look into the diamond audio 600s hex's... or maybe some focal poly K's....

 

Yea I am hearing alot of hype about focal. But I am doing nothing to the system anymore, I am doing Rims, Kit and springs now. OR should i save the cash and put it towards a new TL.
