well i have a pioneer n3 and i have never taken my center console or dashboard of my car out. so its pretty scary to take ur baby apart for the first time. and i prefer doin it myself than goin to the shop. i've read alot bout bypassing the ebrake to watch videos. and basically i'm trying to understand how to install the unit correct with the bypass, and also the navigation thats part of the aftermarket HU. i'm a rookie at this as u can see. please help.. thanks

The DIYs and FAQs: https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/%2A%2Aaudio-video-diy-info-faq-all-models-%2A%2A-299065/

For more specific questions about the headunit itself, you may want to take them to a more appropriate forum, like avic411.com or the12volt.com

I've installed 2 D3s now, they are similar to the N3s, and incredibly simple (at least compared to more complicated systems like Alpines). The wiring is straightforward and everything is labeled and color coded. Obviously you need to know what you're hooking into, but I would hope you get a harness for your stereo connections, and get a service manual so you know you are tapping the appropriate wires for your vss, reverse, etc.

And, to bypass the D3, all you need to do is the "mute wire" trick. It is likely the same with the N3, but I cannot say for sure. Check the other forums mentioned above.
