Hey guys, I need a little help in finding aftermarket 6x9's that produce a good deep bass in my rear deck. I replaced my head unit and my door speakers already and now am looking for the bass. I dont want to spend the money on subs and a box, but i f i need to I will in the future. I greatly apperciate the help. By the way, I am slightly new to the forum (from Houston) and just got my CL back in May.

How about build yourself a 6.5" trim ring that sits in the 6x9 opening and then you could put a really nice 6.5" midbass driver in there.

Your choices would be wide-open then.

 

actually 8"ers would work 10,000% better. 6x9s arent great when you crank em. tip: enlose all your speakers for maximum sound quality

 

Hook your soon-to-be-delivered amp up to your 8" sub.

 

install a Basslink and be done with it.
