Just ordered my new deck.

I'm sure some custom work will be necessary, to get this to fit right, but I think it will be worth it.

You are right, the radio station by default will not work here in the US. You can get a tv tuner module from alpine that will take care of that issue. It only hold 1 cd, but I'm also getting the 6disc CD/MP3 player installed in the glove.

Just an FYI Denon doesn't make headunits. In fact they don't make any kind of car audio products. If they do this news to me.

They do make car audio products. Supposedly they are the best decks. I woudlnt mind getting a Denon head unit, but I dont think they look right in the car. Alpine also has some really nice feature that denon doesnt have.

I have had both brands. The Denon is about 4 years old, the Alpine 3. The Alpine is better build quality, made in Japan. I think the Denon was made in Korea or China. On the Denon, the detachable face mechanism partiality broke, frequently used push buttons became loose. Hopefully their material/build quality has improved. Both decks sound great, never skip, lots of features.

Which Denon model do you have? I was never really abig fan of Alpine until recently. Their new decks are simply amazing. I went to a local shop close to me, and I had a chance to play with some of the new decks out, and I thought solid feel, and quality the Alpines took the cake.

Denon 950.

The '1' button does not click. The detach spring release does not work. Has a few quirks once in a while.

My Alpine has always worked great. It's a CDA-7xxx something. One feature I like in both decks is the control knob.

Will if Denon makes headunits for cars I can't find them. I know that the USA division of Denon doesn't make headunits. So if they do it must be a division in another country. If I'm wrong about the USA division not make headunit. Please give me some links to see the headunits and information about them!

Will I know when to say you guys were right and I was wrong.
