which amp would go good with a jl 12w3v2??

i dont know much about subwoofers and amps.. especially about ohms and rms and all that other stuff so much help is greatly appreciated. thanks!

Going by this chart:


For a single 12w3v2 I would try to find an amp that puts out about 250-300 watts RMS. Maybe like a JL 250/1. I'm sure some of the experts around here can make some other recommendations too. What's your budget?

no budget! ... im planning to get the sub and amp by next tuesday and hopefully that same weekend start on the custom fiberglass box, along with an avic n1, xbox and inverter.

use the 500/1 for that sub its the perfect one for it...

the 250/1 pushes it very well. I think thats what most places will tell you. That is what I have.

yeah, 250/1 or 500/1 either way u can't go wrong. But if you are lookin to upgrade your sub later, then get the 500/1

if the 12w3v2 is a dual 4 ohm version, an e1400d will give you 400 watts into a single 2ohm load. a good amount of power, and a little less $.
