JL 10W7 VS JL13W6v2
Besides different in size, enclosure specs, and other specs, they are both rated at 500 watts. How will these two sub perform, and sound , assuming that both are fead with the same wattage and set in the same car?
The reason i asked is because i am actually lookin at phoenix gold Titanium 15 vs JBL GTI Series 10", and wanting to get a general idea, how smaller sub VS bigger sub sound assuming both rated closely in RMS and fead with the same power.
Thanks

i have a 10w7 and a 500/1. Its perfect SQ and loud as hell (when you want it to be). I have it running off my rear channels so I can use my fader as a level and it gets perfect sq at like F +3 and tons of heavy bass at +0. Use a sealed box on the dub7 and you'll be real happy.

you guys that already have a 10W7, what kind of car is it installed in? right now i have 2 low end kicker 12 inch subs in my tsx. i'd be afraid that single 10 wouldn't have enough power to make it through my back seats. maybe in a hatch back or a suv where there is nothing blocking the bass.

My friend used to have a 15 Comp kicker in a civic Hatch, and i really like the way it hits. It hit very nice with drum bass. Alot harder, thumps better then my 15W6 civic coupe.

the only thing i dont like is having a big ol' box with 2 twelves filling up my trunk. i'd like to get something that uses less space but still hits hard

o yea the 10w7 with 500.1 will have enough power to go through the back seats. mine is installed in a 2000TL and it hits hard. i have the bass to the lowest setting and its enough for me. im still young so i like my music loud and 1 10w7 is enough for me. when i want it to blast through my windows i just turn the bass up a quarter of the way so everyone can hear it and they do. my friend had 2 12" alpines and mine blew is away in spl n sq. his got all distorted and the bass was weak.
