I used to have an ipod connected to a DIY AUX input in the armrest that I put in when i bought the car back in 04....someone decided to go shopping in my car and took it, so I decided it was a good time to get an Iphone 3GS

Ive only seen two real ways to connect the iphone in my car...one being just run the belkin powered audio connector like i used to have (they took that too) and leave the iphone sitting on the console, or

I found the ProClip holders (http://www.proclipusa.com/home/home.aspx) that seem to make the install a little nicer and hold the phone so i can have music playing and take a call without the cord dragging around. Although its like 40 bucks more.

How is everyone mounting their phones these days?

 

Proclip all the way. They make vehicle-specific clips that attach w/o glue or screws. I've got one in my 350Z and am about to order one for an 02 TL.

 

I love my pro-clip as well. A bit pricey, but I really like it.

Of course the danger with any of those visible mounts is that they advertise the fact that there might be a $900 iPhone in the car. Even if you never leave the phone in your car you might invite someone else to go "shopping" in your car.

That's the reason I won't install a dash mounted iPod mount in my Acura TL.

 

I just put mine in the cup holder=\ lol. There is some system by Karmon and Harden or w/e they are called where it's supposed to connect wirelessly and you get a remote that projects the ipod playlist onto your dash board for easy driving/swtching songs... I havent set it up yet though.
