New Install

I went to Best Buy today and the guy told me you have to bypass the Bose amp for the speakers to work with the aftermarket radio. I was looking at the Sony CDX-GT630UI. It would cost me 170.00 to hook up the radio and a kit to hook up the Bose amp. I told him for that price I do it myself. That Sony was only 160. It just seems like a lot of money to me.

Any ideas on what I should do next? I really like the Sony but refused to be taken by these installers. Like I said I am pretty handy.

meh, I feel you. I went to BestBuy and they told me to hook up a Pioneer in-dash navi and everything they would do it for $200.00 which I guess isn't to bad because I can get that financed and pay it off in 18 months, plus it looks amazing... then again the in-dash costs $549.99 alone so it'll be a big pile of cash... I think it's worth it as hooking up navi is mad hard.
