iPhone 3G PA11 – HON2y issues

So i've used my old 60gb ipod in my 2007 TSX with the USA spec PA11 – HON2y for a while and all is well.

Got the 3g iphone friday and plugged it in and immediately get bugged about it not being supported and it won't charge the iphone. It also sounds pretty flat sounding, but thats another issue.

It didn't charge, which sucks, but everything else worked fine.

Is there a firmware upgrade needed for the new iphones or what?

Does the DICE unit with with the new iphones without any errors?

I've been kicking around the idea of swapping for a while but wasn't sure it was worth it. This might be the reason i needed to swap.

Any help is appreciated. USA Spec's site says it works but not in hybrid mode. No idea what hybrid mode is since its been a while since i installed this.

I think i might call him today or tomorrow and check for sure, but i doubt they will tell me.

Was also thinking of contacting DICE to see if they have the same problems as USASPEC said.

Yup, same problem. DICE estimated a 2-month wait time for the new cable.

I have the USA SPec Adapter also. I'm curious if I got this new cable would it still work with the other iPods, I think it'll only work with one or the other.

I'd hope its backwards compatible. Interresting though. If its just a switch in the cable, coudlnt they just make an adapter to make the change instead of a new cable though?
