Intermittent "snaps" coming from tweeters.

Hello,

My system sounds great, except once in a while there's an annoying "snap" sound coming from my front tweeters. it usually happens when I quickly step on or release my throttle. It's sharp and loud enough to make me jump and say S#%t, WTF was that. I checked all the wires, and the only thing I could come up with is may be my ground is not good enough. The install shop has only one small #8 screw holding the 4 Gauge ground termination to the diagonal bracings behind the rear seats. Any help is highly appreciated.

Just for the benefit of on-line diagnostic, my TSX system consist of:

MBQ Premium 6.5" components in the front, MBQ 6.5 woofers only in rear doors, and a JL 12w3v2 sub in the trunk. All driven by a 5 channel PPI.

Problem solved,

Just in case someone had the same problem I have. The problem was from the spliced female RCA connectors I was using. I bought a set of EFX y-splitter from Crutchfield but they were POS. Do not use these.

The ones I replaced them with were the $4 gold series from radio shack. And now there is no snaps. Nothing.
