interferance in PS2 install

i have some sort of interferance in my ps2 install with the audio. there is this really annoying whine/ticking sound. could it be because the audio wire needs to be shielded or something?! is there anything i could use to shield the rca cables?! its annoying to the point where i want to take the thing out

reason i put it in was because my dvd player burned out so i figured for the same price i can put a PS2 in the car.

completely rewire the whole thing, most likely bad wiring

i jus took it all apart and it seems the interferance is coming str8 from the headunit!! when i touch the audio inputs on the rcas that come out of the headunit, i can hear static and interferance. this has never happened before. any thoughts?!?! its so weird

Try securing the rca connections again then put some electrical tape around each rca jacka nd see if that helps/ If the metal on the rca jack touches or is near metal it will cause that to happen sometimes.

Make sure it's not your power source/inverter.. A quick check would be to get a extension cord and run it from your house to the car.. Or try testing the PS2 on your home theatre seytem..

Returning the PS2 more then likely won't solve your problems..

hmm, ok ill try that one out but when i connected the old dvd player to the unit, i had no problems. the inverter is in the center console and the rca cables are behind the headunit. would that still cause the interferance?!

Where is the audio for the ps2 being run too? Are you running it into an snhond3 directly into the aux input for the tsx?
