Question Installing subs....w/out remote/trigger wire.

Nubee Alert!!!
Pls inform..... Need info on how to get around installing a new deck just to get a remote/trigger wire running to my amp. Any way i can get that same signal from any other devices? If it helps you i'm running 2bridged12's with 600w amp (all alpine). Sucks i didn't go witht the JL setup which had the auto detect through the speaker wires. Thanks for the help in advance!

You can allways run your remote wire to your fuse panel and tap into the radio fuse and just use a toggle switch for on and off use.

You can pick up the remote turn on lead at the factory subwoofer amplifier behind the passenger side of the rear seat. The wire you are looking for is ORANGE. OR, you can get a remote turn on trigger that is switched on and off by any signal to any speaker.

SK2003 you can buy this little box thing from Walmart which you can connect to your back factory sub's wiring. then what that box does is relays the music to the RCA plugs included. All you gotta do is split the wiring to your factory sub and just connect it all together. the good thing is this little thing doesn't need power and it lets you plug RCA cables to it. hope it helps.

No, you need to take the back seat off to find the stock sub amp.

Does any one know what wires in the wire harness are the speaker wires going into the stock amp? Because I want to split my RCAs right from there.

First, you need to remove the bolt holding the bottom seats in place. It is located in the crack by where the seat belts connect, behind the drivers seat. Then pull the bottom cushion toward the front of the car, take the seat out and put it on the floor or some place safe. The back seat cushion has bolts on the sides that hold it in place. When those bolts are out you will need to lift straight up on the cushion. The seats have hooks that hold it in place, I found this part to be a b!tch. After that the amp for the stock system is in plain sight, behind the passenger side. From here is where I am stuck, I have the remote wire hooked up but I can't figure out what wires to crimp on my RCAs. I don't want to use a LOC because I read that you get better sound if you split the wire before the amp for the RCAs. Some one please help!!

Oh, and as for the interior those pictures are from my old Acura Legend and the interior was tan. I am in the process of doing that to my TL.

to power up neon lights you can run wires and an in-line fuse straight to a switch and then to your lights. simple as that.

I don't know about the laws up here about the neons. I have heard they are illegal for streety use but I have seen them installed many many times ( in the car and under ). I personally don't think a cop will stop you for it unless he is looking for something to pull you over for. I can almost gaurntee he wil give you a warning before a ticket, you should be ok to install them I would make sure you can take them out without any marks (if you have to take them out) i.e. holes, clips or screws. Nothing looks worst than a MOD completed and then removed but it is very obvious someone has tired to do something here.

Yes you have to take back of the seat off too. you have 3 10 mm bolts and then you have to lift the seat up, it is on hooks. becareful not to scratch the leather.

I hope that helps you and could you tell me the color of wires you use to splice off. please and thankyou

just want to let you guys know......
I DID IT! I DiD iT! i dId It!
i got lost taking out the upper portion of the back seat, spent 10 min trying to take out the initial bolt which i found out later was the wrong one(took out the seatbelt bolt instead)_Pls note, if anyone wants to attempt this in the future, make sure you have an extra long extension bar for your tools or you'll mess up your interior or get leather burns on your fingers. thanks for the help guys. by the way, i ended up running 10 gauge wire from the battery for a 600w alpine amp. is this enough or should i go with the advice of 4 gauge power wire?

Residual, you gotta splice
blue = for remote lead
yellow = i think was the positve
purple = was the negative
*if not switch them over, but im sure it's those three colors.
when spliceing you a/v jacks/wires, there's two layers.
go through the first layer of plastic and wires, then there'll be another set of wires inside which are the ones you gotta connect with the wires form the amp.
i'm in etobicoke, if you want exact details or need a hand just ask and i'll PM you my cell #. Hope it works out like it did for me.

if i recall, the blue wire was the wire i tapped into for the remote and the yellow/orange and the purple wires was the ones for the rca. i didn't cut them. all i did was cut the rubber off slowly from a portion in the middle(try not to cut any of the wires inside), wrapped the new wire around the exposed exsisting wire. and electrical taped it all. make sure that the wires that you attach to the exsisting wires are long enough. i had to re-attach my wires 2-3 times cause once it came time to putting the box into it's place, it tugged all the wires out. (really pissed the F*ck outta me) check your PM, i left my number just in case you have any more probs.
