Infinity kappa 6x9 fit?

Infinity kappa 6x9 fit?

Will Infinity Kappa 692.7i fit in the same place as the stock 6x9's or will i have to modify the grill?

You will not have to midify anything. The nice thing about the new Kappa's are that the use a neodynium magnet. This means that the Kappa speaker will fit in spaces that most speakers won't. In fact, they usually take up less space than your factory speakers. And they sound awesome.

BEWARE... All of the NEW Infinity KAPPA speakers are 2ohm. Not 4 ohm. This requires you to use an amplifier.

How well would these work with the OEM stereo and amplifier?

The Kappa's will work well with a factory BOSE amplified system. However they will not sound great. Those BOSE amplifier in the CL makes about 25 watts per channel. The Kappa speakers need atleast double that. So.... even though the amp to speaker impedence would match well, the power would not match so well.

I would definately recommend an aftermarket amplifier with the Kappa speakers.

It's a good story too.

Maybe I'll post the whole story in the TL forum or an off topic forum later today. I'll post a link here when I get it together. I've got some pics that will make any Honda/Acura owner cringe.

Would it be possible to change out the amp/speakers but keep the stock h/u for something like this?
