I have two 10s, and they work real good. Its really accurate and tight with a good response time. Its good for trance especially since the bass beat is fast.

I have the IDMAX and it is very good sub. It plays pretty loud but keeps very good sound quality. Its all depends what you are looking for as far as bass that you want. If you are just looking for a little fill you can go with one of the IDQ 10 or 12 ...they are also maid by Image Dynamics. The IDMAX needs a deep box (The sub is 8.25" deep)and a fair amount of power...I am giving it 500w RMS and it sounds real good but it would be better at 1000w RMS. There is some pics in my sig of the woofer itself. Also the IDQ would not have to be in such a deep box.

You can also look at www.elitecaraudio.com they have a lot of helpful information.

They only have an IDMAX 12" and IF you can find someone that has them in stock they are between 300 and 475 depending where you get it from. They are on back order all the time b/c they are a real good mix between SQ and SPL and every one wants one and ID doesnt crank out a ton of them.

FYI ON IDMAX 10 sUB

The IDMAX 10 is close to release but there is not an official date yet. I believe it will be 3 or 4 months possibly sooner.

I can get you IDMAX's right now for $399 each (I think). If you have any questions you're welcome to email a friend of mine. LOUDSYSTEM@aol.com He's an Image Dynamics distributor out of AZ and knows just about anything you need to know about them. Here's a pic of mine with Chromed baskets:
