What does everyone think of this sub? I've heard good things from some of the audio forums. One downside is the 30 pound weight.

the weight should not be a negative thing. The weight is a good descriptor of how large the magnet, or also how "dynamic" the sub will be. Lesser quality subs often have smaller magnets. So unless weight is an issue as far as racing or strenght of building materials, weight shouldnt be an issue.

i have one and love it. It hits really clean and is pretty loud. You might want to go ported though, if you want spl. I'm not sure what that will do to the sound quality since i am currently using a sealed box. It will be difficult to find a box already made for the sub, so you will most likely have to find someone to make it for you.
had it in my 330ci and loved it. But i sold it thinking i would get a w7.
but then i realized i didnt want to spend that much on a w7...
