I-POD in 2004 TSX w/navi

Hey guys,

I just called Acura dealership if they can install an I-pod interface in to my 04 TSX with navi, and they told me that they can't but recommended
some shop. At the same time they have told me that the warranty for the Navigation and some other electrical parts will void .
Is that sound is right or they just full of sh... ?

I call BS. I installed the Dension Icelink into my car. I have a 04 TSX/Navi 6MT. Took about a hour to do and no problems. There are no cutting of wires as all of it is plug and play. Depending on where you run the connection to the iPod, you may have to drill a small hole if you decide to have it run to the center console like I did.

im interested in hooking up my ipod to my '04 tsx /w navi.
let me get this straight, if i get the pre-spliced y-splitter from that site, and then go into, say, bestbuy, and get the ice-link plus, it will work with my car? are there any known problems?

could bestbuy do the install for me? i have no idea where to start with it.. so.. yea..

Exactly. You can save the money and do the install yourself. It is very straighforward as it is mainly plug and play. To save money you could just buy the y-spliter from me as I have an extra one I am selling for $20 shipped.

Not sure about the Alpine unit. The Dension Ice-Link is the best setup if you want to control the iPod from the steering wheel controls. If you just want to listen to your iPod the cheaper solutions would be Blitzsafe, PIE or SNHOND3 which provide the RCA connection to your iPod headphone jack. Regardless of the solution on the market today, you still need to buy the spliter for Navi.

ok then. one last of my annoying questions - i take it i have to plug the thing into a cigarette lighter source? problem is, i have a radar detector that takes up one cigarette lighter, and a g-timer that takes up another. i take the g-timer out a lot to plug in my phone charger.

can i hardwire the ice-link?? or does anybody know where i can find a guide to hard-wiring my radar detector?

You don't have to plug anything into the ciagarette lighter. The power comes thru the cables.

Why don't you just buy it from me. As I mentioned I have an extra one for $20/shipped.
