HU kit

Yep, this is a road that has been previously traveled. I'm asking again becuase I think it will help me as well as some of the newer members.

So, here we go again:

Is there an aftermarket kit that will allow an aftermarket HU to be installed in the TL-S while still looking good?

I've been thinking about the EQ bypass, etc. etc. and I think I'd rather just install a new HU. The problem is that I don't know where to get a kit that will allow for a factory looking fit with the installation of a new HU.

Those who know, please post.

Hopefully, this post will help all those who want to dump the Blose system and start over. It's usually very easy to do so. For some reason Acura has made it very difficult for us.

Thanks all for bearing with me.

this past summer i inquired about an available hu kit for our car at a local shop. they told me there were none available at the time and it would have to be made by hand, which they were already used to doing for our car!

Whoops, the SO made it clear that the purchase of an aftermarket HU is not "allowed" at this time. Guess I'll be doing the EQ bypass and installing the rest of my gear until I'm allowed to do otherwise. (The price for the front set of comps set her over the edge) I do still think it's important for us to keep it posted as to where one can get a good dash kit.

It's a damn shame that Acura has made it so difficult to replace the stock HU. It is nice that it has a built in 6 dash changer, but the stock EQ and speaker configuration make it very hard to do what would typically be a simple upgrade.

Well, shyt happens.

I just finished building my amp rack tonight. I'll have pics of everything once it's all finally in.

Thanks all.
