How do I install speaker wire in doors?

How do you put speaker wire in the doors of the CL? It looks like it goes in the dash!! Does that mean I have to take out the dash to do it?

Thanks,

Spiro

NO, you don't have to take the dash apart, just the covers underneathe, which in a CL I don't think there are any expect maybe on the passenger side. Anyway, you need to remove the door panel and the speaker....with the window up by the way. Once you do this, you need to unhook the rubber boot between the car and the door and run your wire through it. If you have a wire hanger or something like that (i.e. a wire puller), it will make life MUCH easier as there are several wires running through this boot already....if you don't, try some liquid soap. Once you do this, you need to feed the wire into the door, being careful not to wrap it on the INSIDE edge of the window track...make sure it's behind it and ran with the rest of the wires in the door.

NOW, getting it INSIDE the car can sometimes be tricky, BUT, if you just use a flashlight, you can generally find where the easiest route is for the wire. You can feel from the outside door jam generally where the factory wire harness to the door runs and follow that on down...AGAIN, a wire hanger or a wire puller will benefit you greatly.
