Help with Sub installation
In a few weeks I will install my 10inch sub box.
I need your expertise,
1) Can anyone describe the path of wires from the amp to the battery, in detail? Basically where to hide the wires.
2) I want my sub to turn off when I turn my head unit off. Where can I tap this trigger? Do I have to run the trigger wire to the back of the headunit?
Those are my preliminary questions ..any help will be appreciated! Thanks so much!

1 the path is from th battery to the fuse(12 inches away) through the fire wall then you have to pop the door sills off the kick panel where the hood release is and the panel by the seat belt
run the wire wih those wires that you will see
2 do you have an aftermarket headunit ... if you do then there is a blue wire behing there that you have to connect to the remote wire that is going to run to the amp
if you dont ahve a headunit then you are going to ahve to make a switch from accessory wire under the dash to the wire going to the amp (remote)
3 you will also have to run a pair of RCA cables to the trunk i suggest that you run them on the opposite side f the power wire if you dont it may! cause groundnoise and you dont want than
4 when you have your wires ran you may want to cable tie them to the factory wires ...( not necessary but it is a mmuch neater and cleaner way of doing things) i usually put a cable tie every 6 inches (i go overkill most of the time but its neat and thats the way i like it)

and an addition to that is that if it isn't an aftermarket HU and u want to run a remote.. u can just tap into the radio fuse...that will turn the amp on and off when the radio off and u don't have to worry about a switch u may forget to turn on and off...
yeah that kinda what i said in #2 .... also that another reason the you put a tap on the ignition ( not accessory) because this will only give you power when the car is running of turned to the switched position so you dont ahve to worry about turning it on and off

I forgot to mention that I will be using my stock headunit. Is there anyway I can tap the power in the back of HU to act as a switch? I don't want to use the fusebox. I want to be able turn the power off when I turn the radio off.
The main issue is finding that switch.

i dont think that there is a way to do this because when youturn the radio off you should stll be eting power to the radio so you will not be able to do this ( you can but the amp will still be on)
thats why i said have a switch cause you can have it to an ignition and if you turn the radio off you can just flip the switch to the off position and then you will not be getting power to the amp ( this is the better way to do this but you have to set a switch and be able to test wires)

im sure that there is a wire that is an ignition wire behind the radio ...you are just going to have totest it to see what color it is..but i dont think that there is a wire that would not give power when you turn the radio off, the reason is is because you are getting power into the headunit but then you turn it off you are basically flipping a main power switch and the means that you are still getting power but you are no using it
