Help with stereo upgrade
I have done a tone of research on stereo upgrades but im getting alot of mixed messages and I need help.
these are the specs.
* RMS Power Range : 400 Watts
* Peak Power Handling: 1200 Watts
* Impedance: 2 Ohm
* Low Frequency response: 37 Hz
* High Frequency Response: 150 Hz
* Diameter: 2 12 Inch sub woofer
Features
TN250/1 Amplifier Specs
* RMS Power @ 4 ohm: 100 Watts x 1
* RMS Power @ 2 ohm: 200 Watts x 1
* Frequency Response (-3dB): 20Hz to 85Hz
* Maximum Input Signal: 4V
Everybody keeps telling me I can't use the wires from the stock 8 inch sub.. And I need to run a bypass for the amp...
I need specific instructions on what to do.

Regardless of how you get signal, you're going to want a bigger amp for that sub. It is better to have an amp that is "too" powerful for a sub than to have an amp that is underpowering a sub. Because if you turn that amp's gain up at all (assuming your LOC or HU has 4v output) you will start sending a dirty signal, if you're not already. This will start to destroy your sub...
