Help pick between two subs

What do you guy think about the alpine 3 12" Type S DVC's, or 3 Kicker Solo L7's. I want the alpines because they say type s and I heard the are not bad for the price. I like the solo's because they are loud as hell and have the S in the middle, but they also cost a lot. What do you guys think??

i would never buy a sub because of the fact is has an S on it if that is tha case then you should just buy whater you think looks the way you want it to and if it sounds like crap then you cant complain.
if you want somthing that says TYPE-S on it i have the logo just like it appears on your trunk. I can put it on the front covers for the amp rack on my boxes.
if you want bass my dual 10" subs hit like 15's but still have tight accurate bass you expect from 10" subs and the box is designed to fit your trunk exactly.
i don't know if you have seen them but i can light it up in any one of 8 colors. i also have the "ACURA" and "3.2TL" to go along with the TYPE-S logo
here is a pic just picture it saying ACURA on the left and TL TYPE- S on the right.

here is a pic of a box in my TL

Thanks prelude. I wanted the Type S because it doesn't cost as much and I heard they sound pretty good for the price. The Type S logo in the middle is kinda like a bonus. I like how it looks also even without the type S. The solo's are nice too, I used to have 2 in my civic untill it got stolen They were really loud and punchy and i loved them. My gf says I should get the Alpines because she said I new play my music loud anyways which is true. So I'm still not sure. BTW nice boxes

it's cool your choice i understand about the money thing everyone has that problem. but thanks for the compliment.
i do have lesser expensive boxes that are smaller and still have the lights and covers if you change your mind.

Thanks, but I was going to make a sub floor. I'll let you know if I want though because I might need a plexi glass case for the amps.

Austin, my price range is about a $1000 For the subs and amp. The seperate components I don't expect to pay much for. BTW where is the factory amp, and what do you think about A/D/S, is it good? What components do you recommend

For $1000 you have a lot of choices. That's a good bit of cash. Is that what you have for just buying the subs and amp...or does that cover install costs and whatnot?

For $1000 you can easily get brands better than Kicker and Alpine. You can snag JL 12w6's for $160 apiece...so $480 total...then get the amps to power them for the other $500. Similar prices for Infinity Perfect 12.1s. You could get 12w3's at about $120-$130 apiece and use the extra $90-120 for more/stronger amps. With either of the sub types you suggested, you should have money left over.

The factory sub amp is behind the rear seat, on the passenger side, attached to the rear wall. A/D/S is a good brand yes. As for components I recommend, it depends again on price range, and of course a lot of it is personal preference. I suggest you go listen in shops for your favorite type. I usually run Infinity Kappas, Focals, JL's, ID...those types.
