i have a 97 cl, and my fucking cd player and digital clock is dead. ive check the fuse and it was fine. does anyone know whats wrong with my cd player and clock? feedback is greatly appreciated.

But the fact that both the clock and stereo are off really does point at a fuse of some kind. If it was one or the other I might say that the specific unit is hosed, but both at the same time?

There are multiple fuse blocks that you might check, even under the hood. Also, you might even try switching out a new fuse, even if the old one looks okay. I've seen fuses before that didn't look blown that were. If you've got a current tester you could figure out where there is power and where there is not by sticking it in the slot for the fuse.

I actually tried install a new receiver into an accord and the same thing happened. The receiver powered up the first 2-3 times then it went out and the clock went out too. I checked the fuses and even replaced them. Nothing worked so, I finally took the car into a circuit city for the install and the guy said there was a loose wire. I dunno if that helps.

 

yeah, i checked the fuse and it tested okay. i too think its a loose wire or something has been disconnected. im taking it to the acura dealer on wednesday. thanks for the replies! peace outs
