Help JL 300/4 broke RCA
Ok heres my problem, I have a JL Audio 300/4 and one of the tips or the rca broke in the amp. Needless to say I was pissed, and u would believe how it happened. But I want to know if anyone has ever opened up one of these amps, and if its pretty simple. JL wants to charge $180 just to fix it. Any input will be greatly appreciated

Funny thing, I just got off the phone with them again, and I got the $120 price quote. He also suggested that I check out a local shop and they might be able to replace it for less. Now I have to find a good shop in Va.

On the jack, is the plastic center insert still in place? Is it just the center pin from the RCA plug that broke off inside the RCA jack? To be clear, the jacks are mounted to the amp and the plugs are on the cables. If the pin is broke off in the jack you should be able to remove it with a pick or small tool with a hook I the end.

Its the center pin off the rca that broke off inside the rca jack. a little part was sticking out, and my friend tried to use the tip of his knife to pull it out and only ended up pushing it further in. i was thinking about using a fine pin and sticking it directly in the rca jack and try to pull it out that way. if that didnt work, then i was going to open the amp. trying not make more work for myself
