help with Eclipse AVN5435 purchase
hey guys, im about to get this unit very soon, probably within a week or so. i just needed to know if there is a connector that i can use to connect my ipod to this unit. i know pioneer uses a adapter which makes the unit think its connected to a cd-changer. i know kenwood has a unit that allows you to use the controls on the kenwood screen. i cant seem to find anything for the eclipse though. i really like this unit but i will have to change my mind if i cant get the ipod working

No IPOD adapter for Eclipse - are you 100% set on the 5435? Only reason I ask is because I'm personally disappointed with the unit - for one, no IPOD interface, secondly, the sub control - you can't turn the sub ON/OFF with the unit, and it only has 4 levels of volume control for it.
Have you considered the Pioneer AVIC-D1? We are doing a lot of those now - they are cheaper than the 5435 and the video and navi interrupt can be bypassed to play while in motion (not that I recommend watching movies while driving) - and even though the D1 doesn't play DVD's, we have a package for about $2000, INSTALLED, with a seperate TINY dvd player that fits in the glovebox and IPOD interface all included.
