HELP!>!>! Alpine Amps...f430
So I've had these alpine amps for a couple years and in the last few days when I turn the volume up past half way (18-22) on the headunit the 4 channel amp goes into protection, so I figure it has just gone bad. I talk to the guy I buy my stuff from and he replaces the amp for me no charge, I'm stoaked!!!
So I plug my amp in and tune it back up and turn it up, get to the point where the old amp went into protection @, so far so good, I got a couple numbers higher and there it goes...
WTF!?! I don't have the slighest clue what it could be....anyone ideas...let me know If im not being specific enough
oh, btw the gain is at normal and the the crossovers are set @ 120
anyone??!?

Do you think a grounded spot could go bad though?? its still tightly secured and all..and has worked fine since the initial install

The ground could get corroded and not have the same contact as it once did. Or a speaker might short out when pushed to certain level somehow. Sounds like there might be some type of short somewhere.
