Heavy duty wire harness help...
please help guys... i just got my heavy duty wiring harness today and im kind of confused... there is only one input where i plug in the harness from the factory... so does this mean i only need one feeding source from the car and can power both lights/??? if this is so then wat do i do with the other harness that i don't need to plug in??? tape it up so water doesn't condense in there???? i just want to make sure so i don't screw nething up... and another thing is, why do i need a constant source from battery and a new negative.. im just wondering about that...
yeah they for the high wattage low beams.. HID look.. im running 140watts and i don't want to melt the harness... you can find them on ebay or even direct through a site.... just search heavy duty wiring harness and it will show on the forums...
ok on the harness u should have 2 things where it plugs in to the factry harness so lights will turn on when u turn the switch. u have 2 moer harnesses for the headlight assembly and your pos and neg right. Maybe do u think it only takes one input to turn on both bulbs???
thats what im asking cause i know other ppl here have installed it on there car... and i want to know if i only need one input to turn on both bulbs cause there is ONLY one input wire...
I got my harness from suvlights.com for my C70. They way mine is setup is that the there is only one connection going to the stock wiring (well 2, 1 for lowbeams and 1 for highbeams). The upgraded wiring will then run across the car and power the other side. So basically I only have 2 connections going into the stock setup and not 4. There's a pic of a harness at the suvlights site to give you a better idea of what I mean. Hope this helps.
