Head Unit Plug Diagram
I have been looking, but can't find a plug diagram for the 2 plugs on the back of the 05TSX w/navi & XM head unit. Non of the stickies have this, and none of my searches pulled up anything. I found the one for the stock amp, but not the actual HU. Can someone help..... palease!
There are 2 plugs. One is on the very back and the other one is on the bottom of the HU. I want to know what each plug reps?
My goal is to splice in to the 2 XM/Aux (R & L) inputs. I believe the plug I need to splice is the one on the bottom. But before I go chopping anymore wires in my car, I would like to get some more reassurance.

It shows the XM plug, but it doesn't tell you what each wire is in the plug. Also, that thread doesn't help those with navi and xm. Everyone on that thread still has problems. That's why I just want to see a diagram of the 2 plugs on the head unit. Something that looks like this ( http://www.cifrancis.com/acuratsx_sm...udiosystem.jpg ) but for the HU.

HU diagram for Acura TSX w/navi
Hey, I have a diagram (page 22-266) of the HU wire pin layout for Acura TSX; but, how do you post a jpg diagram on this thread?
I just visited my Acura dealer and asked for the information as I'm putting another Amp and Sub into my '04 TSX. The service dept. were very accommodating.

I just pulled out the radio and took a good look at the plug. There are 2 shielded wires comming in to the unit. One has a shield and 2 other wires. the other has a shield and 4 other wires. Does anyone know which one of these wires is the XM radio input? I have a feeling that the shielded wire with a shield and 4 wires is the xm input since you get to switch between xm1 and xm2 on the stereo.
Will post a pic later....gotta golf tourney to play in in a few hours and gotta hit the range now!

CJ, I have the 04 wiring in my Helms, which is the same thing that's been posted - I've assumed that you were looking for the 05, which I don't have.
But looking at the Electrical wiring diagram for the )$, I see a 20-pin blue plug A and a 14-pin white plug B. It looks like the 14-pin white plug faces down and is what the SHOND3 plugs into on a non-navi.
ON the navi it lists three wires for the data bus. On Acura accessorues it lists a full 14-pin harness but does not spec what the wires do. I am guessing you're right on the wires.
It would be nice if someone got a 2005 Helms... : )

Does anyone know where the actual XM radio unit is? Is it in the Navi unit or in the Head unit? Maybe if I can find the xm unit I would be able to figure it out.
THX all!

Now that you have a possible location on the XM box... if you aren't already doing this, try testing the wires with a voltmeter set to AC. That should give you a good idea of which wires are the audio signal wires.
Oh, do that with the car NOT running : )
