Head Unit Install Kit?

I just bought a 2003 6 speed acura cl, which I trade my S2000 in on. I am wanting to upgrade the head unit, but every install shop and even crutchfield is telling me that no one makes an install kit to fit the large gaping hold that the acura cl stock unit has. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks,

Christian

Here is your unfortunate help: Pay good money to local shop to custom build you a kit to hold the head unit. Sorry, but thats the way it goes.

Yup. You have to make your own or pay someone to make you one.

Well I know I saw somewhere on here that someone hooked up an xm satellite radio by plugging in to the auxillary plug on the back of the stock radio, what is this plug and how would that work? Can someone please explain that, I hate to go the fm modulator route because I know I will lose some signal.
Thanks,
Christian
