got a new battery today. problem! can't figure it out.

ok. today before i get the battery changed, my system works fine. everything is fine. now i get my battery change (i got a die hard gold) at sears. now i went to mcdonalds and att wireless store and i DO NOT remember if it worked ok. i am pretty sure it did though, otherwise i would remember it not working. but i did have it on radio and you can't really tell loud bass on radio unless you like listening to rap or something. anyway, after the 2 stores, i went back to school and ok the road, at a red light i put it on cd and tested it. well the bass just didn't kick in. the woofer doesn't put out any sound. when i got home, i looked at it again. i checked the 3 fuses and they are all ok. i look at the sub amp to see if it is powered and the LED is ON. i feel the sub and i feel a little vibration. it sounds like it is playing though, if you get close. the rca's haven't been touched. they are supposedly ok. the settings on the amp haven't been touched. they are supposedly ok. my deck reset after the battery change but i put the settings back to what they were before. nothing. i put the subw-out gain to like +10 so i should be able to hear the bass if there is anyway. the low pass filter is set on 120 just to make sure i would hear anything.

well man. i am stumped. what do you guys think is wrong? could it be the cap? what happens when you a get new battery. do you need to recharge the cap? i don't think so though. the sub amp LED is on. **** i don't know. just give me some help will ya?

thanks guys

Go get yourself a volt meter/battery tester. Check to see what the voltage is. I would try testing the voltage at the battery and at the amp

Engine off
Key in position 1, accessory
Engine started

See if you have a big difference in voltage

Good luck
